Relieving Suffering in South Sudan
Millions of people in South Sudan have fled their homes due to political violence within the country. Hundreds of thousands more have poured into the nation to escape armed conflict in Sudan, its neighbor to the north. People are in desperate need of food, water, and medical care. Children and the elderly are particularly at risk. Most of all, they need the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ayian escaped the ongoing violence in Sudan last year with her children and traveled hundreds of miles on foot to South Sudan. They are barely surviving in a makeshift shelter and had become ill.
